Location:

The Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech.) is located in Melbourne, Florida, about 30 miles south of Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center.

Workshop meetings will take place primarily in one of three buildings: The opening reception and closing dinner will take place in the Hartley Room of the Student Union Building (SUB).


Travel:

Air travel:
The two most convenient airports are Melbourne International Airport (MLB), about 10 minutes drive from Florida Tech, and Orlando International Airport (MCO) , about 1.5 hours drive from Florida Tech. Melbourne Int'l. is serviced only by Delta; Orlando Int'l. is serviced by most major airlines, such as American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, and United.

Ground transportation:
* A shuttle from Orlando Int'l. to Melbourne Int'l. runs periodically . The cost is around $40.
* Major car rentals are available at Orlando Int'l. and Melbourne Int'l. .
* Shuttles run from some hotels to and from Melbourne Int'l. (contact individual hotels)
* Taxiis are available in the Melbourne area.
* Buses in the Melbourne area (Brevard County) run on a sparse schedule .
